My first ‘payout’ deleted my account?!

I held off on posting this because my upstream/mentor told me she’d heard that the site owner was on vacation. Well now that I’ve received an email from a different site that has the same owner as PPCPayDay, I’m going to try to find out why my account was deleted.

Amber wondered if I might have clicked a cheat link by mistake. I suppose it’s likely, since this was my first week PTC’ing. But darn, I wish I could just be penalized or warned for a mistake like that, instead of losing my whole account. I’m going to ask if I can have my account back if I pay closer attention to the links (I have enlarged my text across most sites for this very reason).

Here’s what I wrote to my blog, along with a copy of my email to PPCPayDay, when my account was first deleted:

I was so excited to finally make it to a payout, then a few days after submitting my request for payout, they delete my account?

I checked PPCPayDay’s Terms, and I do not believe I’ve violated any of them.

I’ve pasted them below, and will address each one:

  • Multiple Joins
You are not allowed to create any more than 1 account. << I have ONE account
  • False Representing
We do not tollerate anyone who uses false information to get referrals. << I have NO referrals; I’m still new to PTC’ing
  • Cheating
With our tough anti-cheat system, it is extremely difficult to cheat. If someone is caught cheating or simply attempting to cheat, we have the right to forfeit all earnings and possibly even ban the user from our network. Cheating would include any of the following:
  • Interfering with our system to prevent optimum security and/or reliability.<< I log in, and click
  • Creating any type of emulator, or a program to automate the process of clicking.<< I click manually
  • Any malicious act that may, in any way, interfeire with our system.<< I clicked a lot over a few days, then requested payout
  • Spam
We do not beleive in spam, and we are very strict on the handling of your information. The only emails you will receive are periodic emails with information about updates and issues with the site.
  • Inactive Accounts
If your account has been inactive for more than 45 days, it will be deleted. I’ve not been a member for 45 days yet
  • Advertising Terms<< I have no webpages, so none of these apply
    – The website must not contain pornographic, racist, discriminating, vulgar, illegal, or other adult materials of any kind.
    – The website must not contain any frame breakers.
    – The website must be english.
    – The website must not contain or promote any viruses
    – The website must not conatin ANY promts such as download dialogs or confirmation alerts.
    – The website must not exceed the 1 popup/popunder limit
    – The website’s single popup/popunder must not open any new windows.
    – The website’s single popup/popunder must not break any of the above terms.
  • Subject to change<< I have not received ANY emails from them since joining; I checked before writing this. I always look at my Yahoo account’s junk folder before deleting. So it can’t be because of agreement changes, because I never received a notice from them to accept or deny the changes to the agreement.
This agreement can change. Although we have the right to change this agreement without any prior notice to our members, we will send out a notice to all of our members the new terms and/or terms that have changed changed. If for any reason you do not accept the changes, you will need to contact us, and your account will be removed.
  • I’ve just emailed their contact email address with the following:

    Hi,

I joined the other day, and clicked through numerous ads for a few days, and noticed I had enough for payout. So requested a payout on August 3, 2008 for the $5.01875 that was listed under my balance.

I try to log in today, and find that my account has been deleted. I checked your Terms page, and do not believe I’ve violated any of your terms.

Please explain which term you believe I’ve violated so we can discuss it.

    Thanks,
    Shreela

I’ve documented this the best I know how, considering I’m new to PTC’ing. I’ll follow up when I receive an explanation email from them, or I hear nothing.
